Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky used a collection of festive, vibrant books, moons, and shapes layered on a black background to describe a chaotic mood during WWII. Similar to Composition X, the bus stop uses two major pieces juxtaposing each other to create separate shading devices that play with the use of light, color, and shadow throughout different times of the day. The separate pieces merge together into two-layered steps; appropriate for sitting, standing, and sun bathing during the bus-wait. Imitating not the fear and anarchy of 1939, the bus-stop intends to give the side walk an extraordinary vibe of party and color.
